DigiPitch is a digital pitch gauge using the accelerometer and camera to provide accurate and easy to take readings.

The first step is zero DigiPitch. On a flybarred heli you can zero on the flybar so simply line up the zero line with the flybar and touch the zero button. You can now move to the main blades and line the zero line up with the blades. The angle displayed is the pitch of the blades.

For FBL (Flybarless) helis you can zero on a line in the chassis which is perpendicular to the main shaft or (as shown in the screenshots) you can zero using the swash plate and elevator arm.

The major advantage of DigiPitch when compared to traditional pitch gauges is that there is no loading on the blades. For small helis like the mCPx or even the Trex 250 this makes it much easier to take accurate readings.

Any suggestions for improvement will be very gratefully received.

Downloaded this App. Tried to launch it without success. Using Ipad2.
Works Great!
My AP800 pitch gauge broke and so I thought for 99 cents why not give DigiPitch a shot. It is surprisingly easy to use and it even allowed me to align my servos. The only thing to be aware of while using it is to keep the camera at the same distance when setting the zero point and taking the measurement... seems to work better that way. Resolution is to a tenth of a degree.
